Thinking Out Loud is a coming-of-age novel that follows its protagonist’s journey towards self-fulfillment. The philosophical mold of the story helps to examine how a person can look inside himself and follow his heart. It takes a closer look at human life through the eyes of an eighteen-year-old college student, Siddharth, who is hollowed out by the guilt of his past. When circumstances bring him together with Maya, they embark on a journey filled with ambition, pain, and hope. This helps in transforming Siddharth’s cynical life, but an unexpected encounter with his past crimes forces him to make a choice between pursuing his dreams and clearing his conscience.
