It is a collection of 50 poems written by Dr. Tapati Baruah Kashyap in the backdrop of Jatinga, Haflong and other places of natural beauty in Dima Hasao district of Assam, India.
Dr. Tapati Baruah Kashyap is a noted Guwahati-based bilingual writer who has over ten books to her credit. They include three collections of poems in English –Peace of Silence (2001), A Discovery (2008), Winding Ways (2013), two critical works on Assamese Women poets (One in English, the other in Assamese), a collection of biographies of 50 empowered women and a handbook on women rights, among others. A PhD from Gauhati University on the topic ‘Seamus Heaney and W.B Yeats:A Comparative Study’, she is also the winner of two prestigious awards –Kunjabala Devi Memorial Award instituted by ‘The Assam Tribune Group in 2004 and Laadli Media Award by Population First and UNFPA n 2011. She also writes a regular column in Dainik Asam apart from being a regular contributor to ‘The Assam Tribune’ and ‘Harmony’.
